Privacy Policy

This page explains how we process personal data on the entia.sk website and when you communicate with us. We comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.

If you enter into a contract with Entia Communications s.r.o. (Sekýľska 18, 841 06 Bratislava, Company ID: 50226967), that company is the controller of the data needed to perform the contract. The contact details are the same.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), as we are not required to do so by law. Please direct any questions to the contact details above.

2. What data we process and why

Communication and enquiries

When you write to us or call us, we process your name, e-mail address, phone number, company name and the content of your message. We need this data to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.

Legal basis: steps taken prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for general questions, our legitimate interest in responding to your message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention period: for the duration of our communication, and no longer than 2 years from the last contact if it does not lead to a contract.

Contract performance and accounting

When you order interpreting or translation services, we process your contact and billing details, order details and payment information.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with legal obligations, in particular accounting and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Retention period: for the duration of the contract; accounting records for 10 years as required by the Slovak Accounting Act.

Website operation and security

When you visit the website, your IP address, browser type, time of access and the page visited are recorded automatically. This data is used to secure and technically operate the website, for example to detect attacks.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security and functionality of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention period: only for the limited time needed to secure the website, depending on the settings of the hosting provider and the security tool.

3. Cookies

The website uses only strictly necessary cookies, without which it would not work. These relate mainly to administrator login and website security. No consent is required for these cookies.

We do not use analytics or marketing cookies and we do not track your behaviour on the website. Fonts and all other website components are loaded from our own server, not from third parties. Should we start using cookies that require consent in the future, we will ask for your consent in advance.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes. Only the following processors and recipients may have access to it:

WebSupport s.r.o., Karadžičova 12, 821 08 Bratislava, Slovakia: website and e-mail hosting.
Defiant, Inc. (USA), operator of the Wordfence security plugin: protection of the website against attacks based on IP addresses. Data is transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
External accounting firm: bookkeeping.
Public authorities: only where required by law.

5. Your rights

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the right:

to access your data and obtain a copy,
to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected,
to have your data erased if it is no longer needed or is being processed unlawfully,
to restrict processing,
to data portability,
to object to processing based on legitimate interest,
to withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

If you believe that we process your data in breach of the law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.

6. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
